Teen Hub
This weekly group supports neurodivergent or socially anxious teens and their families. The group takes place throughout term time at Dormans Youth Arts Centre in Crawley - a fully resourced custom youth centre run by Sussex Youth. Sessions are designed and led by Qualified Forest School Leaders, informed by training with The Therapeutic Forest and working in partnership with other specialists, including clinical psychologists, SLTs & OTs. Many of our sessions are supported and facilitated by a fabulous host of volunteers, creating wonderful opportunities for connection, especially in the Parent Carer & Neurodivergent Communities. We have evolved organically in response to community need. Our personal journey uncovered a real need within the neurodiverse communities, among children & families unable to attend mainstream schools, as well as those struggling with anxiety, depression & poor mental health. We have connected with parents, carers & families as well as isolated individuals of all ages. By creating a safe and inclusive space to take physical, creative, social and emotional risks, we are supporting individuals to build personal resilience and increase their sense of well-being - whatever their personal challenges may be. This leads to greater confidence in their usual activities and the ability to ‘bounce back’ after disappointments, as well as allowing individuals to nurture & cherish themselves and others. Working with families and established groups enables us to model a way of communicating with others that allows emotional literacy to flourish and positive connection to thrive. Delivery can be as varied as the practitioners we train, because almost any activity can be a vehicle for engaging with the natural environment and communicating in an emotionally literate manner. All activities are person-centred & child-led. This means there is always an invitation to participate - never a demand. Opportunities are available throughout the space to simply be still, or to be occupied in a different way. Please note, access to this group is via referral and invitation. A new cohort starts each half term so there is support for new families. Funding can be via EHCP, personal payment or subsidised by Community Funding if available at the time.

Our Drop-In Taster Day is a relaxed way for teens and their adults to get a feel for Teen Hub. There is no set programme and no expectation to join in - but you're invited! There are structured activities or just go with the flow. Teens can watch, take part in something, move between spaces and arrive & leave when they wish. Parents & Carers stay for the Taster Day - most stay during normal sessions too (but not all). Almost everyone who attends Teen Hub started out not knowing anyone - often joining through Starter cohorts - and many have experienced anxiety around groups. We plan these sessions with that in mind, focusing on emotional safety and choice. We also minimise sensory overload by inviting over 12s only and keeping musical instruments and noisy devices in side rooms. All interests are welcome - feel free to bring your own activity or device if it helps you feel more comfortable. If you like the feel of the space and would like to come back - we will support you to do so - more after the Taster Day! Please see "What to Expect at Teen Hub" above - or send an enquiry via our Contact Page. You can book directly (pay what you can) using the QR code link in the image to our Bookwhen page. We look forward to seeing you at Dormans!

The Pioneer Project
The Pioneer Project is a unique, structured, outdoor education program designed to support social connection, develop practical survival skills, teamwork, and resilience through hands-on learning. Over a term, participants will engage creatively with bushcraft, survival skills, and green wood-working in a community garden space in Crawley, Sussex. Led by experienced practitioners with a high staff-to-student ratio (1:4), the program provides a supportive, low-pressure environment where participation is encouraged but never forced. This allows individuals to build confidence at their own pace while still benefiting from structured, goal-driven learning. Please note, these sessions need to be referred to and booked in advance. A new group starts each term. Funding can be via EHCP, personal payment or subsidised by Community Funding if available at the time.
Sisterwood
Sisterwood is a therapeutic, low demand, safe & nurturing outdoor space for teen girls who find it tricky to make friends or meet others. The young person (and a parent or carer) will be gently and thoughtfully supported to engage slowly with a small group of teens with similar experiences around a campfire. The sessions are run by therapeutically trained practitioners and are zero-demand, therefore suitable for PDA. We offer a variety of activities to cater for all interests, such as toolwork, crafts and campfire cooking. The groups are small (4/5 teens and adults) and everyone starts at the same time, so no worrying about trying to fit into an established group. Each session lasts for two hours and the group runs for approximately 12 weeks. Sessions take place in Crawley, West Sussex. Please note, these sessions need to be referred to and booked in advance. A new group starts each term. Funding can be via EHCP, personal payment or subsidised by Community Funding if available at the time.

D&D
Our small D&D groups (four teens) use roleplay to build confidence and connection. Run by our amazing Dungeon Master, Scott! Fortnightly sessions in Crawley, West Sussex. Please note, these sessions need to be referred to and booked in advance. Funding can be via EHCP, personal payment or subsidised by Community Funding if available at the time.
